TWRM Radio: “Phylum” – Music For Animals

…Man is the weakest and most defenseless of all living things, and it is unsportsmanlike to touch him.
-Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book

Who doesn’t love animals? I mean, besides serial killers and soulless jerks, who doesn’t love animals? We grow up with them, we learn to nurture thanks to them, we learn about life and death with them, and we rely on them to survive. For many, it’s easier to root for the animal in a movie than it is the humans. Animals can bring even the driest of eyes to tears whether it be the end of Where The Red Fern Grows, Simba finding the lifeless body of his father, or that episode of Futurama that I’ll never watch again.

This month, we present a mix of songs about, involving, named after, and from games with animals of all kinds. It’s a tribute to our scaly, furry, crawly, and fine-feathered friends. So, cuddle up with your favorite pets or stuffed animals and enjoy  “Phylum” – Music For Animals.

I would like to thank The Well-Red Mage, The Arcade Mage, and The Sometimes Vaguely Philosophical Mage for contributing to this month’s mix.

The ABXY Mage leads a double life of unfathomable hipness, if his expertise in jazz is any indication. Music maker, fandangoist, writer, you can find this hip cat as ABXY Reviews on Twitter and on YouTube.
