“You never know what you can do till you try.”
I really just want to say thank you for all the awesome support, dear readers, followers, passersby, whoever you are! A lot of you have helped us pass on the word that The Well-Red Mage now has a YouTube channel and you’ve helped us reach 100 subscribers in 18 days! Thank you to the #smallyoutubearmy for showing support for a teeny tiny, brand spankin’ new channel like ours. Thank you to the community that has been with TWRM for so long showing up and showing some love.
2018 has brought a slow start to my work but I am very encouraged to keep pressing on, keep trying new things, and certainly create even more content. Speaking of which, here is some transparency about our plans for our channel. I plan to upload a new well-read audio review every Monday, just in time for your commute or other weekly chore so you can multitask and listen to some sweet throatal undulations while you go about your business.
Additionally, I intend to upload complementary works that are going to be much, much shorter, one example that’s nearly upon us being a full audio review for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well as a short video later in the week explaining the subjects of theodicy and free will as brought up in the game and as discussed by philosophers and theologians throughout history. I’m drawing from my education background for this one and I hope to create these thought snippets frequently.
Looking out into the more distant future, I plan to begin uploading content in a podcast format for the usual suspects, Soundcloud, iTunes, etc. This will further emphasize the audio format we’re sticking to and ideally continue to expand our audience. And to sate any curiosity, yes, this blog will always remain the center focal point of this expanding concept. I’m a writer first and critic second, not a podcaster, not a YouTuber, not an internet personality.
Thanks once again to all of you lovely people! There is a 100 subs video coming soon! I just… didn’t think I needed to have it ready yet.
In your service,
-The Well-Red Mage
