July is over and we’re in the full heat of summer here! It was 112 degrees the other day. I do not envy our readers in colder environs. But luckily, we packed our own heat as well. July was not our best month for reviews but we undertook a hefty project in exchange.
In July, we reached 13,000 hits (so thank you very much to our readers)! Our 10k hit celebration allowed our faithful followers to secure their own mage names, just like the cool kids.
The Green Screen Mage gave us a review of the fantastic indie hit Undertale, and we took an intensely close look at Batman: Arkham Knight for the longest review we’ve ever written. To remind us all that The Well-Red Mage is a blog heavily influenced by nostalgia, we reviewed Luigi’s Mansion as well.
July saw the launch of a real cultural phenomenon (minus week one) in the mobile game Pokemon Go, so to keep up with the pace we mages invented a new recurring series: the “Pokemon Go Stories“. We also took on two new co-authors with the Bluebonic Mage and the Golden Godd Mage.
The world had some amazing news with the reveal of Nintendo’s NES Classic Edition, coming this November!
Musically, we had a stellar countdown of the Top 20 video game Space themes!
Oh and I’m sorry. Gotta mention Zack Snyder’s BvS “Apology-Edition“, uh I mean the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition (or the BVSDOJUE)!
But the pièce de résistance was the 31-Day Mage Challenge!
I don’t know that we’ll ever take on such a massive, month-long project again, because it took a lot of work. So thanks again very much to all of my fellow mages for putting in the time to make the project a success.
And of course, I’d really love to thank our readers and followers who came along for the ride. A big shout out to all of those who shared their own opinions and perspectives and memories:
August is upon us! My birthday month! Yes! (You can send gift cards to the following address: 81485 Mage Valley Ct. Awesome City, CA)
