Today, this happened:
I just wanted to take a few moments to express my gratitude to everyone who reads, comments, likes, or simply ghost follows The Well-Red Mage. When we started this blog, our aim was merely to write reviews. I’ve personally played around with writing since early high school and I dabbled in world-building long before that. I remember designing maps for a game we were calling Super Mario Universe… I wish I’d sold Nintendo that idea.
But in the time since we began this blog back in mid-February, we’ve had the opportunity to expand in social media and I’ve got to meet some really cool and inspirational people: other writers and bloggers, and even people who work in the gaming industry. I don’t know what the future holds (nobody does) but even if The Well-Red Mage were to sign off and shut down tonight, I’d be happy with how far we’ve come. But there’s still more work to be done. Level 99 is not far away.
I also wanted to share some of our finer details with you, in hopes that it would encourage other bloggers to persevere as well as provide some kind of gauge of comparison to see where your own blog is at in the process of becoming more widely known.

Now how about we celebrate with some nightmare-inducing, fear-faces from (corrupted) Super Mario 64?
